VIRETY’S OPERATIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

BOOKINGS
1. Hosts are charged a service fee of _____ of the booking total
2. The Host may request additional service charges but any charge not mentioned on the Virety platform by the host is considered unacceptable. This includes media work charges, cleaning fees, caution fees e.t.c
3. Reservations cannot be made for more than 90 days at a stretch. After 90 days it can be renewed.
4. If a Host does not provide access within 4 hours of the scheduled check-in time, the Guest is entitled to a full refund. Repeated offences may lead to Host suspension and or penalties.

Terms of Payment

5. Payments will be made into the host account before Wednesday but will be pro-rated.
6. If a host cancels more than 3 times within 30 days, their calendar will be blocked and they will be charged a service fee for that 3rd cancellation.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Applicable to the hosts:
1. Host cancellations are subject to Virety’s cancellation policy.
2. The Host must demand receive and keep a copy of the Guest ID card.
3. If a host cancels the reservation after check-in, the guest will receive a full refund on the days not stayed and the host will receive 100% payment on the days stayed.
4. Changes to the cancellation policy by the host will only apply to future reservations.
5. If a host cancels the reservation after the guest has moved in they are required to allow the guest to stay an extra 24 hours or payment in lieu to sort out an alternative stay. Then the refund for the remaining days will be given.
6. Please note that any changes or cancellations to bookings must be made at least 3 days prior to the scheduled check-in date. If any adjustments need to be made. A notice of at least 72 hours is required to avoid charges.
7. All penalties start counting 3 days to check-in, any cancellation made either by the host or the guest 3 days before the check-in may be subject to penalties and service charge deduction.
8. If a host cancels the reservation before check-in, the guest will receive a full refund of the reservation cost.
9. If a host cancels the reservation after check-in, the guest will receive a full refund on the days not stayed and the host will receive 100% payment on the days stayed.
10. If a host cancels the reservation after the guest has moved in, they are required to allow the guest to stay an extra 24 hours or payment in lieu to sort out an alternative stay. I.e guest must be given 24 hours after eviction notice except in life-threatening situations or acts of God. Then the refund for the remaining days will be given

Resolving disputes

1. Any query or complaint not reported by hosts within 24 hours after checkout will not be considered as relevant.
2. Hosts are obligated to ensure the guests have a good time and check the apartment to ensure there are no damages after the guest leaves.
3. If you haven’t reported any damages within 24 hours after check-out, all claims will be inadmissible.
4. Hosts are advised to keep their virtual tour links private to avoid others plagiarising their property on the platform.
5. Hosts are responsible for updating their calendars to ensure that the days available are days they are prepared to host.
6. Hosts are responsible for ensuring they are easily accessible and provide accurate information to help the guests arrival.
7. After accepting a booking, you may ask a guest to confirm that the contact information provided by Virety is an appropriate way to get in touch during their trip.
8 .Host must clearly disclose all fees, rules, and requirements on the platform.

Health and Safety

- Host must have first aid kit, fire extinguisher or fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits.quick access to medical services, close proximity to security, emergency services and law enforcement agencies to assist guests, if there is a requirement for such help., and property insurance.,
- Host must ensure they provide a sanitary environment and must not harbour dangerous and hazardous substances.
- CCTVs are permitted for safety. CCTVs or any image capturing devices are not permitted in the rooms to protect guests' privacy.
- Host should ensure that emergency exits and safety equipment must be noted upon arrival.
- The Host acknowledges that they are responsible for the safety of guests
- The Host must ensure that the Property is clean, safe, and fully functional before a guest’s arrival.
- Any maintenance issues affecting the guest’s stay must be addressed promptly.

Indemnity

The Host agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Verity, its affiliates, and employees from any claims, losses, damages, or legal disputes related to the listing or guest stays.
The following behaviors are prohibited:
1. Contacting potential guests prior to booking on Virety to move the booking off Virety platform (example: offering discounts to book off Virety platform).
2. Cancelling of existing full or partial reservations and having guests rebook off Virety platform.
3. Asking or encouraging guests to book outside of Virety for repeat or future bookings.
4. Selling, sharing, or using guest contact information for marketing communications or signing or adding guests up to contact lists.
